I know this forum is for Criminal Lawyers, but I'm hoping someone can answer a question about Probate. 

The daughter of a recently deceased person stated in a Financial Affidavit for the Court, that she owed the deceased $8,000 for a personal loan.  She is now claiming that she doesn't have to pay the money back because her father died.  The Executor is a close friend of mine and believes this money should either be repaid or deducted from the daughter's inheritance.  Since the only written agreement is the Sworn Financial Affidavit on file with the court, can this be used to enforce repayment?  Is there a law about repayment of personal loans by relatives to the Estate?  I don't know if it matters or not, but we are in FL. 

I would appreciate any help you may have in this matter.
